You need to amplify your workplace wellness culture.
It can’t be something that you implement and check off the list. It needs to be truly interesting for employees and effectively managed.
Though more than 85% of large employers offer a wellness program…
60% of U.S. employees are aware that their company offers a wellness program
Only 40% of those who are aware of the program say they actually participate in it
How do you amplify your culture?
1) Provide a check-in service, digitally. Digitalizing your workplace could make it easier for employees to participate.
2) Create fun challenges for employees. Think about how you could do something together with your team, like a step challenge. Top stepper earns a paid day off!
Marketing versus sales team?
3) Provide a rewards program as well. Incentivizing employees will give them a reason to check-in to step challenges or team building challenges. This is key as most employees won’t care unless there is an incentive.
To determine whether your company’s wellness program is making a difference at key organizational levels, your leaders must be able to answer yes to these questions:
Culture: Do my company’s programs encompass well-being elements? Does our organizational culture support our wellness initiatives? For example, is it socially acceptable in our organization for employees to exercise in the middle of the day or to leave early to participate in a charitable function?
Leaders: Do all my company’s leaders support the well-being initiative? Do they regularly communicate the value of the program and reinforce how it fits with the organization’s purpose and brand identity? Do they consistently model the behaviors that the program seeks to impart?
“Employers continue to offer mature solutions even though they clearly do not meet any employee top health goals,” the authors of the survey wrote. “This is obviously a sub-optimal situation, and highlights significant misalignment. In the consumer world, and now in digital health, employees expect their technology to be personalized and tailored. It is difficult to imagine that employers can continue to exclusively offer solutions that do not meet their employees’ top needs, wants, or expectations,” says Castlight Health.
We have built out a full software to give your employees the boost they need. Our incentives reach further with charity and personalized technology to reach those employees. We can easily set up challenges or a rewards program for your company.
Amplify your wellness program and start taking care of your workplace.
